Behind The Scenes
Artisan Furniture Australia is the principal Australian Importer & Distributor of Artisan which is globally renowned for its innovative furniture design and quality craftsmanship. Handmade from six species of solid timber, Artisan pieces are produced by craftsmen in a large Bosnian factory surrounded by dense forest. Working out of an old school woodwork shop, with a 60-year history of producing fine timber products – it has since been transformed into the modern and technologically advanced facility that it is today. Initially commissioned by Dutch and British designers, the first collection was produced in 2007 in collaboration with regional designers. Artisan specialises in the manual production of high-quality furniture, it is this insistence on manual artisan work that makes Artisan truly unique.
